A review from the book ''Oliver Twist''.

Oliver Twist

Summary:
Oliver is born in a little workhouse, but his mother died when he came to life. He is brought up in a child farm, but when he turns 9 years old, he is returned to the workhouse. There, he is trated badly, and when he ask for more food, they sell him to a man that works in the undertaker's. There, he is treated horribly too, so he decided to run away to London. Before he reaches the city, he met a young man called John Dawkins, who offered him a save place. He met Fagin, a man that trains kids to be pickpockets. Oliver didn't know this, so he is accused of being a thief. The man that was robbed, say that Oliver wasn't the thief, so he is free. Then, he moved to that man's house, but Fagin capture him. Sadly, he is forced to break into a house, but the house's owner turned to be his aunt. Finally, Fagin and the others were arrested, and he received an inheritance from his father.

Background, setting:
The story is placed in London, in the years around 1830-1840.

Evolution of a character throughout the story:
Oliver Twist is a good young boy. He is sweet, innocent and he has purest heart of all. However, people who treat him are miserable and hit and insult him just make him stronger. Throughout the book, we can see that the innocent boy becomes a very inteligent and determined boy, what leads him to find his place in the society of London and in the world.

Personal opinion:
From my point of view, this best-seller is an amazing eye-opener. It helps you understand how the society of London in 1830 was;  it shows how the poor people couldn’t have an education, house, or even doctors. It shows the reality of young boys and girls who had to survive with anybody's help.
However, the stories finish in a good way, because Oliver cans find who his family was and begin to start living well.
